A Dream

The phone doesn't work in certain places. "Zandry, can you still hear me?" Nothing. I hang up the cellphone, looking around the house. Some of the lights work, some don't, parts of the house are dark. I walk with Carson over to the kitchen. "Sometimes you can see her.. When the light glows, you can see her face.. She's the matrix of the anthem." "Matrix of the anthem..? I don't understand.." "She's Merideth. She..." I look up and see a faint glow.. In the window I stare, and I see the face of a girl. "I saw her..!!" "But look again, this time it's someone else.. It's all in your head"
Why are the coins sorted by how much they're worth? Why bother doing that? And they're all mixed up anyway! There are quarters in the ten cents section!
I step outside, avoiding my roomates. I hop up to the garage roof, and I lay down. But I'm tense, afraid, I can't relax laying there, I'm afraid of heights and for some reason just being there makes me afraid. "Why am I so scared..?"
I go down and go inside, walking up a small staircase to two doors. I open the first, and behind the door is completely bared off from top to bottom, horizontally.. Bars blocking entry. I open the right door, remembering my room is that way. I open the door, and behind it is open air, and a small ledge. the ledge is the side of the roof of the building, but you walk along it to get to the little staircase that leads to the solitary room up there. to the right is a very very high drop, and to the left is the roof, and in front of me is the small ledge with no support or railing to walk along.
I go to the side of the house, and I feel forsaken. We're running out of money.. What do I do..? I can look for coins in the street, but dad would eventually figure it out.. I walk back to the front and there are my parents standing there, ready to interrogate me. I'm holding a small child, a baby, just getting hair.
"I'm not having a son." I say to them. "What..?"
"I don't care if he'd be the family heir! I want a daughter! I love my daughter, Briar, and she's all I care about!"
I run towards the street.
