I hate when my internet crashes. It's evil. Evil evil evil.
So last night, at 1 AM, I was talking to Zandry and suddenly it got quiet, and there was no reply. Then some minutes later, it disconnected. Extremely irritating.
So I sit there for about an hour.. Listening to music, glancing over the already-loaded pages of the internet that are still avaiable, and glanced at my little brother, playing a golfing video game. Enter. Enter. Enter. Reconnect. Reconnect. Reconnect. But the same message everytime. "You have been disconnected from yahoo mesenger.. You may want to check your internet connection.." So I hung around till about 3 AM, and then Alex came upstairs.
"Good morning!" I laugh. He had been sleeping all day, and woke up at 3 AM.
"The internet's down.." He does all the things I already tried, and the internet just sits there, stubborn. I sigh and shake my head. Alex joins Carson in his game, and I continue to sit there, slowly typing a document, titling it "A Lonely Notice" of how my internet went down and I was pissed at it. Listened to music, and smiled at the fact that I was lucky enough to have Zandry's blog loaded.. (mwahah..) So I reread that, over and over, out of boredom, with a grin.
I thought of how it would be, through my eyes. I decided I probably don't want to write my version. He's lucky enough to not have many that look at his blog, so he can write whatever the hell he wants. I wouldn't want any more cheesy on here than I've already got. And that was kinda coy of me, huh? To ask for cheesy instead of funny... Well, half-coy, a secretive coyness. He kneew it. He knew why I chose cheesy, for his story of how we meet. *chuckles* And heck, it worked out just how I wanted it. *grins*
So I sat there for another hour.. And then at 4 AM, I looked through our VHS tapes. "Hey, let's watch the videos from when we were little!" "No, I don't want to watch sesame street..." "I'm not talking about that!!"
So I looked for the ones with our names. "Tanya and Alex, 1991.." "Alex Tanya Carson"
I picked up those two tapes, and walked over and put one in. I sat down next to Alex, waiting for him to finish his game. Carson was laying in Alex's bed, watching. Carson was being noisy the entire night, and we kept on telling him to be quiet, because mom and dad were asleep. So I sat watching his game, as Carson blabbered. I thought I heard something, so in a half false threat I said to Carson "Carson, be quiet, I think I heard Mom!!" Alex says "I think I did too.." and then we both look at each other with an 'oh crap' expression. We look to the stairs, and there se is.
She comes up and sits with us, saying "you guys... why aren't you asleep..." we all say nothing. She says to go to bed, and Alex turns off the TV and everything.. But I have other plans. I move over to the VCR and turn on the TV, setting it up. "What is she doing?" "I don't know" "Hey, I'm just testing something.." an excuse. I set it up, and hit play. "Oh darn, it needs to be rewinded..." I hit rewind. They wait, to my surprise. I hit play and plop down on the couch.
We watch the video, recorded when I was one and Alex was four... Brings back memories and gives a lot of laughs.
Then we watch the one some years later, Carson falling asleep as he eats his food, Alex helping building the closet, Gramps and the squirrel, the sprinkler, us dancing, playing our games.. Me twirling around in my belle costume, dancing with Dad and Carson gets jealous, takes his other hand. Me still in my belle costume, Alex dressed as Aladdin, Carson and Alex having a sword fight (Alex is about nine and Carson is two). Me asking loudly if I can try. Us clashing swords in our costumes.
Alex fasforwards through some of the video, and he goes past when I'm singing in the living room, and I tell him to go back, because I wonder what the heck I'm singing. He rewinds, stops, and I listen, and then crack up. "Sooomeday my prince will come--" in my slurred kid voice, and I just laugh into my hands. Alex and mom laugh too, and Alex says "well you had to ask!" "Gah.. it figures.." I find it ironic. Another part where we all laughed is when I was trying to spell something.. "W--... A-.. coo.. C... O.." and it ends up I was tring to spell Racoon...
Now today as I wake up late, again, mom tells me that Alex is going through all the tapes that were never converted to VHS, and is putting them on DVD... The one's we've never seen. That'll be fun..
